Showing/Show Dates
Here are the current dates for 2009! All dates are subject to a degree of uncertainty and may change.
Keep in mind that if the weather forecast on the 6pm news the night prior to a show is for 32 degrees or higher, the show is automatically cancelled.
Generally, pre-entries close the Wednesday prior to a table show and 2 weeks prior to Championship shows. The Royal Melbourne Agricultural Show entries close up to a month before to ensure that entry tickets etc... are able to be passed on in good time. Keep checking the website and e-mail the webmaster for further details.
To avoid disappointment, check final details for shows by e-mailing the webmaster.
Please note, the date of the Spring Championship Show and the Young Cavy Show (held on the same day) has been changed. It is now the 18th of October.

Benching Time - by this time, you should have your animals at the show and you should have seen the Show Secretary to get numbers, confirm entries/scratchings and pay any outstanding entry fees.
Starting Time - This is just an approximate guide. Many factors may delay the actual starting time of a show. However, do not count on delays, please ensure you are there on time so you do not miss your classes.
Usually, the pet/condition classes will run first, followed by the fancy animals. This order may be changed on the day at the discretion of the Show Manager. Arrangements and the order in which a class is called to the table will depend on many factors which may not be known prior to the show. Do not count on any particular order being used, ensure you are there at the benching time so you do not miss out on your classes.
